I miss Chinese Class

And so, on the 17th July, Xin Fei finally graduated from her Chinese Classes. 2 weeks later, and I still miss my chinese class =( Honestly, every lesson was enjoyable. The teacher said I improved the most (but I think it is because I have the biggest room for improvement =X).

Will the 10 lessons be enough for me?? I can never know till I'm there in China...

Looking for a friend (II)

A second part to the post about looking for my friend.

I have seen this long-lost-friend look alike for a few times in the past few weeks. I might actually go up to the junior (i presumed, because i have never seen him in Year1 and 2) and ask, "Do you have a brother called ...?" They look so alike!

But i think i wouldn't dare, would i? I might actually. Today, after the IA&F paper, at FoodCourt 6, the junior walked passed me again. He was like right in front of me!! And i got a close look at him and they are like a total replicate!! I was so tempted to asked. Could it be the same person?? I am 98% sure that they are two diffferent people, but they might be related, right? No harm asking, right? He might think i'm a stalked or some sort.

Heritage Fest'08 - the people

The people of the Kids Zone[althought not all of them]. Crazy Yi Zhen and Crazy Me. I have worked with her during the last Children's Festival.
This is a drawing done by my niece, Melissa^^
There was this kid that saw my tag and asked what does "crew" meant. He told me he knows what a ship crew is. I explained that the crew is people that help faciiate the operation of something and that if this exhibition was a ship, I am part of the crew and that Ruby was the captain.

Some interesting that happened:
1) People were coming up to us and asked where this is and that is, even when the service counter is right beside us!!
2) We were giving out some free drinks such as Banana Flavored Bandung, Lychee Flavored Bandung, and i still feel gulity about it (just kidding). People kept on asking if it was free or not.
3) Children was calling us "JieJies" and I had 2 boys calling me "Teacher!" and they are ike shouting across the exhibition calling me "Teacher!" (Where should I hide!!) But when the adults come in, they will tell their children, "Ask Aunty teach you how to do", "Give to Aunty." Haiz...

P.S. Isnt anyone curious how i took so many photos when i am suppose to be working??

Heritage Fest'08 - the art

This year's Heritage Fest Theme is "Who is your hero?"
So, Who is YOUR Hero? Batman? Superman? Power Puff Girls? Winx Club? Lim Bo Seng? The Police? The Fire fighter? Your Mum? Your Dad? These are some photos of what the children have drawn and paste on the Hero's Tree and some patch work.

The above one is done by me and YiZhen^^ Can you guess who is our hero?

Love Calculator

The love calculator is such an interesting software, it managed to distract 4 guys from their projects and entertain them for about an hour. I have to agree that it was kinda fun while it lasted. We were mixing and matching our classmates and ourselves. We found out some combinations that gave us 90+% and even 1% (lol).

The love calculator was created to calculate the probability of a successful relationship between 2 people by using their names (There is some kind of maths formula to it). But can you really calculate love by using a standard formula?? Do people really rely on this system? It makes me wonder if anyone uses the love calculator at home like some psycho, looking for their 100% soulmate based on some calculation that someone came up with. Or is it just another harmless internet joke? Whatever it is, all i can say is that it's actually quite fun once in a while.

Perhaps when you're bored, you could check out the love calculator and calculate the love relationship with that special someone. But one thing you must rememeber is that don't ever rely on the system. If you want a relationship to work out, you got to do more than just pray that your names matches and the love calculator gives you a high probability...

Last Presentation as a Group

This is my project group^^
A bunch of crazy people that can laugh at anything and everything...We always joke about failing our project..
"Dun wanna do izzit, dun do la. Fail la! Fail together lor! Forward Module la!"
They never fails to bully me and ignore me when i am talking. Furthermore, they are the reason why i say i need more female friends =X

Oxford graduate Kian Hui aka Brilliant Scientist

Crazy Game Host Andy aka Is-This-Your-Final-Answer

Harvard Bookworm Xin Fei aka The Weirdo

Owner of Hotel XM Xuan Ming

Top Master Chef Fu Weng

That was the last presentation i will have with them. I truly enjoyed the "STUNTS" we did for our presentations over the last 2 years. From dumb role play to crazy slideshows, High School Musical Songs and Lilo &Stitch Video. Even thought some stunts wasnt good enough or was too short, i really had fun^^ Arigato (and.....you may cry right about now [cause you have "filling"])

Bus 185

For some reason, everytime i walk towards Dover MRT, 185 would jus drive pass me. And it is not only once that it happen. 185 would pass by me almost every night after Chinese Class. Destined??

But it really gets on my nerves. If the bus was to come every 5 to 10 mins, i wouldnt be that irritated. But the thing is that 185 usually comes 20mins later and sometimes 30mins plus. Taking 185 is worst than a roller coaster ride, you never know when your journey will start...

Alien?

You Are an Alien

You're so strange, people occasionally wonder if you're from another world.

You don't try to be different, but you see most things from a very unique, very offbeat perspective.

Brilliant to the point of genius, you definitely have some advanced intelligence going on.

No matter what circles you travel in, you always feel like a stranger. And it's a feeling you've learned to like.

Your greatest power: Your superhuman brain

Your greatest weakness: Your lack of empathy - you just don't get humans

You play well with: Zombies

An alien.. how interesting..

Cinderella

What do you get when you combined cinderella and sleeping beauty together?
You will get someone who falls asleep everyday before midnight.
I got to admit, i still sleep at 9pm each night, if i do not have any projects to rush. But i do (at least i try to) wake at 6am to 8am each day.

Every now and then, some friends would randomly asked "You're still awake?", if i'm on msn after 10pm. They are those that know that i am THE SLEEPING QUEEN.

I reached home yesterday night at 12am and i got to tell you something i woke up at 12.30pm today, which gives me a total sleeping time of 12 hours. My mum woke me up and asked what time i have school today, i just gave a random answer of 10am (class was at 9am), and went back to sleep. The next time i woke up, it was already 12.30pm, classed ended half an hour ago... =X

Looking for a Friend

Friends say that i have to do all the things i want to do before i go to china. I do wish to go out, enjoy the warmth of tropical Singapore(i have 6 sentosa tix^^), eat laksa(sudden craving), go to my class outing and my group outing(make the guys wear pink shirts) and some other things i can't think of now...

One thing for sure is that i am looking for a primary school friend... It have been 3 months since i last saw my friend at Jurong East (18th April). That day, i was on the mrt with my mum, heading towards Bouna Vista, but feeling unwell, i headed back home alone.

At JE, down the escalator, i noticed(w/o my specs) some people distributing flyers and some people doing surveys. Normally, you will try to avoid all these people right? So i did avoid them. But i felt that someone was following close behind me. I heard someone call "Xin Fei", turning around, i saw my "long-lost" friend.

We had a little chat and I regret not exchanging numbers. We departed and headed our own ways, not knowing when we'll meet again.

I have always like JE, it is where you will meet people whom you know especially when you least expected, it's like a small village. I might know where the person is right now, and the chances of meeting the person again is very slim... but i am willing to search. The only trouble is that i only know a single english name. That isnt going to help much is it?

Sometimes, on the bus, i will stare blankly out the window, wishing that there might be a chance that i will see the person again...

~*~ You know me as me, and yet i was talking only about myself. So the next time i see you, i would definiately asked, "How are you?" ~*~

Chinese Oral Class

Today's chinese class is crazy.. we were asked to have a conversation and the topic i got was "success is the fruit of failure"... a common topic in both english and chinese oral. But after 3 years, i think i have lost touch to chinese...

dont ask me about what i said in chinese class... even though it was just less that 3 hours ago, i cant really remember.. =X

But just for practice and because the thoughts keep running in my head, i decided to pen down what i wanted to say in oral just now...

Another crazy thing is that when i got home, and switch on my labtop, i saw a document that was so distinctively singled out on my desktop. One closer look and i knew what exactly happened. The chinese teacher had left a composition question for me when i went for a break and left my labtop on in the classroom. The question this time is what is singapore's early childhood education like and what are my views on it. Early Childhood, i should have asked Yazid or even Hui Wen...

I did this composition on tue during the 3 hour break. For some reasons, my friends and classmates were interested in what i was writing. 10 of them actually read it and 9 of them edited my composition in one way or another...I even joked that the acknowledgements would be longer that the essay itself.

Ackowledgements and Credits

Andy
Fu Weng
Melissa
Li Ying
Jacelyn
Jin Hong
Joyce
Kevin
Kian Hui
Wendy
Xuan Ming

Below is the final results...

So, how was it?? That bad? It makes me wonder if i am truely ready for the trip. Right now, i am connfused; Whether the decision was the right one to make.

I have been oh-so-busy this few days...I spent almost 13 hours in school from tue to fri for some freaking project that my groupsmates seem like they never even turned up.And they never seem to be on time (even on occasions that i try to be late)...
